Verstappen Storms to Pole Leading Piastri in Miami

Max Verstappen’s blistering lap saw him taking pole position for the Miami Grand Prix, with McLaren’s Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri unable to match his pace, qualifying P2 and P4 respectively. Splitting the two McLaren’s was 18-year old Kimi Antonelli, who had an unlucky sprint race after becoming the youngest polesitter (any format) in Formula 1 history after taking pole in sprint qualifying. In P5 was Antonelli’s teammate George Russell, followed by the two Williams of Carlos Sainz and Alex Albon. Rounding off the top 10 in qualifying was Leclerc, Ocon, and Tsunoda who put their cars up in P8, P9, and P10 respectively.
